Morphing is a nice technique which is used to have one shape deform into another. The best known morphing example is the liquid metal robot in the movie Terminator 2 that smoothly changes shapes, i.e. morphs. I am not a morphing specialist but I found some programs and web pages that are worth checking out:

Morpheus by ARK is freeware. So that is the program that I used to create this little animation! The other programs are either shareware or commercial software.
